CPKC Holiday Train
Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train Concert returns to Gage Park in support of Hamilton Food Share
The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Holiday Train returns to the rails this season for its 26th cross-continent tour spreading holiday cheer and raising donations to help people struggling with food insecurity.
On Saturday, November 23, the roughly 1000-foot CPKC Holiday Train is rolling into Hamilton with 14 brightly decorated rail cars. The train will arrive in Hamilton at 7:45 p.m. at 50 Lawrence Road, south side of Gage Park, Hamilton. New York-based pop-rock outfit American Authors and Grammy® nominated Scottish Musician, KT Tunstall will headline the show and play a mix of traditional and modern holiday-themed songs to get your family in the spirit of the season. This free, family friendly concert will even include a special appearance from Santa himself!
The CPKC Holiday Train in partnership with Hamilton Food Share will be collecting food and cash donations. Be sure to bring along non-perishable food contributions such as tuna, beans, rice, pasta, cereal and baby food to the event. An amazing group of over 50 volunteers will be onsite to collect donations that will assist 22 emergency food programs (food banks and hot meal programs) in Hamilton.
Since the Holiday Train program launched in 1999, it's raised more than $24.3 million and collected 5.3 million pounds of food for community food banks across North America.
