Empty Bowls Returns to the Hamilton Potters’ Guild Fall Sale

From November 6–8, members of the Hamilton Potters’ Guild will once again bring their craft and community together through Empty Bowls, an annual fundraiser supporting Hamilton Food Share.

As part of the fundraiser, Guild members donate handcrafted bowls that visitors can purchase for $35, helping provide 70 meals’ worth of food through Hamilton Food Share’s network of 22 food banks and hot meal programs across the city. All the proceeds raised from Empty Bowls go to Hamilton Food Share.

The community is invited to browse the Fall Sale, shop local pottery, and take home a one-of-a-kind handmade bowl while supporting food access in our community.

Hamilton Potters' Guild Fall Sale Hours: 

—  Friday, Nov 6 | 12:00pm - 10:00pm

—  Saturday, Nov 7 | 10:00am - 8:00pm

—  Sunday, Nov 8 |10:00am - 4:00pm

Location: Dundas Lions Memorial Community Centre, 10 Market Street South, Dundas, Ontario

Admission: Free entry and free parking.

Since 2004, Empty Bowls has raised more than $423,000 for Hamilton Food Share, including $29,400 last year. With more than 20,600 people accessing food banks across the Greater Hamilton Region each month, the fundraiser continues to make a meaningful difference for local neighbours experiencing food insecurity.

This year’s featured artist is Niagara-based mixed-media artist Frances Ward, known for her distinctive handbuilt textures and patterns. Her work will be showcased in the Fall Show alongside pieces from the Guild’s 100+ participating members. See some of her work below.
