With more than 20,000 of our neighbours relying on food banks and meal programs every month, the need is greater than ever. Every summer, Hamilton steps up to meet this need through Purolator Tackle Hunger.
About Purolator Tackle Hunger
Now in its 23rd season, Purolator Tackle Hunger brings together Hamilton Food Share, Purolator, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, businesses, volunteers, and fans in a city-wide effort to help ensure local families have access to food.
Every contribution, including food or funds, supports our network of 22 food banks and hunger-relief programs across Hamilton.
Last summer, Hamilton rallied to raise an incredible 253,924 pounds of food — the highest of any team in the CFL last year. In 2026, we're working together to keep up the momentum and we'd love to have you on the team.

How You Can Help
Donate Food
Bring non-perishable food donations to any Stuff-a-Truck event (see more below) or Hamilton Tiger-Cats home game throughout the season.
Donate Funds
Make a secure donation by phone, mail, or online.
Host a Food Drive
Rally your workplace, school, sports team, or community group to collect food and help tackle hunger togerher.
Join Us at a Stuff-a-Truck Event
Meet Hamilton Tiger-Cats players and cheerleaders, say hello to the Hamilton Food Share team, and help us fill the truck. We will be accepting non-perishable food, cash and tap donations!

The Labour Day Classic
Every donation made throughout the summer contributes to one community goal. At the Labour Day Classic Gameday on Monday, September 7, the total amount of food and funds raised is tallied and revealed during the halftime show. It's a game you don't want to miss!
